I am not a great pinball player but I love it. For my games I have at home I like to set them up to be easier for myself but also for friends that come over and are totally new to pinball. Some games are pretty hard for novices and it's really frustrating when the table has hungry side drains. These side posts can be adjusted to tighten up those drains and extend playtime making it more fun.
Printed in standard PLA on a Bambu Labs X1C. Stock settings with support (for the post nut clearance on the bottom side).
Installation: I used a 7/16" silicon ring. I don't think this is critical, use what you have that fits. Move your out-lane post to the bottom hole. Remove the original rubber from it and snap this down over the post. Make sure the adjustment slot is over the top hole and the “lobe” is pointing inwards toward the center of the table. If it's too tight just use a drill bit just barely bigger than the hole to ream it a little to fit. I've found there's some variation in the post sizes Stern uses. I do this by hand to avoid accidentally drilling all the way through.
I used a #8x21 cap head screw with a lock nut on the bottom side to secure the new post at the angle you want. Just be sure the ball can still get through. The idea isn't to totally block the out lane but to make it a little harder to drain and a give you a little bit more chance to bump save.
Have fun!
