Printed Parts:
3x Spring Spacer
1x Spring Base
(I'd recommend using PETG)
Bought Parts:
These cost about $15 CAD total on Aliexpress
1x 70mm 25mm OD Die Spring (Red)
1x 30mm 25mm OD Die Spring (Yellow)
Feel free to try different colour and length combos to find what works best for you, lubricant can also help smooth out the feel.
Installation Instructions:
- Loosen the nut at the top of the elastomers until you can easily pull out the metal plate at the bottom.
- Pull out the plate at the bottom and remove all of the original parts but hold on to a washer, we'll put it between the new spacers.
- Put a spacer on each side of the red 70mm spring and slide it onto the brake's rod then add the washer.
- Put a spacer on the top of the yellow 30mm spring and the spring base on the bottom then slide onto the brake's rod.
- Align the metal plate with the spring base (may require sanding of the spring base)
- Align the plate with it's slot in the brake.
- Tighten the nut at the top.
