This is a simple Fusion360 project that makes it easy to customize a keycap that allows a symbol or letter to be lit up by a keyboard's backlight.
To create your keycap:
- open the Fusion360 project and double click on the sketch in the timeline that is named “EDIT THIS SKETCH”
- Draw your symbol within the box. Make sure there ARE NO ISLANDS in your symbol.
- Click finish in the sketch window and extrude your symbol -1mm
- Make any other changes to the keycap that you want.
- Export the keycap and diffuser bodies separately or use the “Split to Objects” button in Prusa Slicer
- Rotate so the flat faces are on the build plate. No supports necessary.
- Print the diffuser in white (I used PETG) and the keycap in a not really transparent filament (I used grey PLA)
