This model is simply 2 different models assembled in Orca Studio. I wanted stackable sanding disc holders, but I always wanted some guiding posts so I could press the sander down onto the discs and end up with aligned vents.
For this first iteration, I have to press harder than I expected to get the discs to stiick properly to the sander. I think the alignment posts are too tall. Unfortnately for me, I printed 4 of these before I tested the actual mounting of the disc.
You could scale the Z axis by 80%, but it'll make the numbers look weird. Or put something springy below the sanding discs – maybe a sponge or a couple of layers of packing foam stuff. Something that pushes back up a bit.
I still need one more of these, so I'm going to try to tweak the design a bit.
The photos are printed on a Bambu X1 Carbon with the following details:
- Bambu PETG and PETG-HA
- High Temp Smooth plate
- 0.6mm nozzle
- 0.3mm layer height
- 4 walls
I used PETG because its gets hot enough in my garage that PLA gets kinda soft. PLA should work perfectly fine if you have better climate control than I.
