I worked up this design to fix an issue I was having, specifically that it's almost impossible to find half frame slide mounts. While I was at it, I made one for full frame slides too.
I designed the mounts with tabs that hold the film in place and keep it from slipping down into the mount. The tabs pull double duty by also holding the two parts of the mount together.
I'd recommend at least PETG for temperature resistance. In my testing it does get mushy after a while, but it still holds up better than some “real” vintage half frame mounts I've tried. ABS or ASA would be ideal though.
