Got an electric dust blower (electric air duster) and looking for more ways to justify the purchase? This might help:

We occasionally find small, uninvited insects in our home. Normally, we use a self designed bug catcher with sliding doors to relocate them to the garden. While that works, it sometimes accidentally harms the insect when the doors snap shut.

Enter the AirBugCatcher — a smarter, gentler solution ;-)

With this new model, a powerful but harmless blast of air blows the insect off the wall and into the collector tube. Once inside, you simply close the AirBugCatcher, safely trapping the bug for relocation.

When you’re ready to release it outside, just reopen the tube and give it one more puff from your electric dust blower. The insect is free — and your AirBugCatcher is clean and ready for the next mission.

recommendations:

It works best on flat surfaces, allowing you to seal the airflow toward the collector tube by pressing the AirBugCatcher’s opening directly against the surface where your prey is crawling.

I recommend printing the AirBugCatcher with translucent filament for the collector tube, and flexible filament for the dust blower adapter / surface sealing ring.

Print the plug using the same material as the collector tube if you want to keep it simple or just choose a color you like.
