This is a base for the Rule-A-Matic Model 35A float switch. I have made some minor changes to the outside dimensions for better stiffness and printability. The float switch will also sit about 1mm higher in the base.

The plastic and print settings for this model are important for the clips to work properly with the correct stiffness and durability. Other plastics and settings may work but I have not tested them. Most importantly the layer lines need to be oriented so that the clips do not break.

Print settings

-Prusa CoreOne, .4mm HF Nozzle

-Print on the side nearest the screw hole. The U slot should be at the top. (Example in photos with supports.)

-Organic supports on Thumb tabs, and the flat below the U slot.

-There are breakaway tabs to support the clip overhangs.

-PETG

-.2mm STRUCTURAL

-3 Perimeters, 20% infill.

-brim optional

Disclaimer: I have tested this but only with my boat and equipment and it hasn't been installed for very long. I will add updates as time goes on. Your results may vary and always be careful went trusting a 3d printed part with your property.

I appreciate any feedback people have. For a part like this I want it to be as safe and reliable as possible.

UPDATE: It has been in the bilge for just over a month and it's still holding strong with no degradation.
