You can buy alot of kits to build a robot car with Arduino or Raspi and a lot of other components.
But if wanted to be a bit more flexible on the components I want to use and replace them or but them somewhere else on the carrier so I came up with a pretty simple idea:

Built a prototype carrier with a hole grid and put the electronics on small carriers that while fit on the grid.
The distance between the holes center point is 5 mm. Screws are M3
Dimension of the base is 250 x 160 mm so it will just fit the Prusa default metal (at least for the core one)

No matter what the dimensions of the electronic part is - just use spacers and a carrier that will fit the grid.
Check the pictures to get the idea

The base can carrier those default motors you can get everywhere.

I added some basic/common carriers. My current setup is based on a Raspi Zero 2 with a GPIO multiplier and a Astro PI Shield

I will add the cam holder and the battery pack later. If I find time I will write a tutorial WIP you can find it here, The modular learing car project | Hackaday.io

For now this is a starter set for folks that will maybe add there own carriers for eg arduinos or whatever else component you want to use
