I bought the cheaper simple version of SyTools Beast without the standoff table stand. It's a bit inconvenient to use, so I made this simple base with standoffs in OpenSCAD. Attaching it to a board makes it easier to clamp onto a table.
Print instructions:
- PLA or whatever
- I printed in 0.2mm layer height
- Preview the screw hole above the hex nut hole gets printed correct. I made some final adjustments to this before publishing but after printing the one I'm using now.
Parts I used:
- 2pcs M8 Flat head or socket countersunk screw 30mm
- 2pcs M8 hex nut
- 1pc M8 washer for countersunk / flat head screw.
- 6pcs 3x16mm screw for wood
- 1pc scrap piece of wood board
Assembly:
- Make sure you place the standoff on a board so that the knife will be able to rotate. That is don't mount it too far away from the front side.
- Think about how you will secure the stand if you are using clamps, make sure there is enough space on the bottom board.
