This model is inspired by a commercial product that is also 3D printed but very expensive.

This design uses a 25mm wooden rod. The main mount is made up of two pieces that need to be joined together with two dowels and a standard M3x14 cylinder screw - you can use a longer one. I did not need to use any glue, the two pieces stay together fine with the dowels and the tensioning screw.

If you want to recreate the original design, use 0 bottom shell layers and an infill that you like to produce the infill effect on the outside of the mount. I had good results that looked surprisingly close to the original with ‘Adaptive Cubic’ 25 infill % with a 45° orientation - see the attached .3mf file.

The design is parameterised in FreeCAD, you can change the values in the spreadsheet to change the tyre width, maximum wheel height (tyre + rim) and rod diameter.

I have added a few .step files as examples which are also in the 3mf file. The snot.wall-mount.v2.55w-100h.step supporting a tyre width of 55mm and a maximum height of tyre and rim of 100mm.

I printed a few of these in PLA, but any material should work as there is not much force to any part of the mount: The bike is basically standing on its own. Just be careful not to overtighten the screw that goes through the center into the wall.

Have a look at the gear storage in the same design: https://www.printables.com/model/1391937-snot-bike-gear-wall-storage
