Inspired by @SierraGolf solution Kallax Display i decided to come up with a different version without screws and using TPU for the corners because i had problems with fitting other solutions.
Parts needed for each window:
- plexiglass 333mm x 333mm x 2 mm
- 8 magnets 6mm x 2mm
- double sided tape
Includes:
- magnet corner
- rounded magnet corner
- window corner
- window corner with pulltab
Printing:
- no supports needed
- print the window corners in TPU for easy fitting
- print the magnet corners in PLA or PETG
Assembly:
- attach the magnets to the magnet corners using glue or soldering iron
- insert the window corners on the plexiglass (no need to glue)
- glue the magnets to the window corners (with or without pull tabs)
- stick the magnet corners to the Kallax using double-sided tape
Notes:
- careful with magnet orientation ;)
- might work better with slightly shorter plexiglass <333mm
