It's not designed to be an exact replica of the original. It's a bit lower, so don't rely on the ruler on the device when setting the height.
I needed this base to create a device that would allow me to cut circles in wood relatively easily.
Together with this base, I will also insert a slide model that allows locking on the appropriate wheel size.
