Commission to Extrud und Gut for reproduction of a door handle for a DDR, vintage cabinet. The original part was injection molded in a – now yellowed – cream-colored tone with a black backplate.
The customer was refurbishing an oldschool German Democratic Republic cabinet and could not find a suitable replacement for the weathered and broken doorknobs.
Rough dimensions: 26mm x 26mm, extends ~23mm from the door. Recommended to print with small layer height. However, layer lines are well hidden since the file is printed face down.
The model includes an M4/M5 thread, ready to receive a piece of threaded rod for attachment to the cabinet door.
