This is my customized remix of the original "Peephole Door Mount" model (originally available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6449446), designed for secure and discreet installation of a wide-angle peephole lens on standard interior doors. The core functionality remains the same: a compact, 3D-printable adapter that positions the lens at eye level while protecting it from damage and allowing easy door access. However, I've enhanced the design by modifying the lens housing to create a countersunk recess, enabling the peephole lens to sit flush or slightly below the surface of the mount. This subtle adjustment improves aesthetics, reduces snag hazards, and provides better protection against accidental impacts.Key Features:

  • Countersunk Lens Integration: The primary modification deepens the central lens cavity by 2-3mm (adjustable in the source files) with a tapered countersink edge, allowing the lens to be fully embedded within the mount body. This prevents the lens from protruding, making the overall profile sleeker and less prone to catching on clothing or bags.
  • Universal Fit: Compatible with most standard peephole lenses (e.g., 180° fisheye types with 14-20mm diameters). The mount attaches via adhesive backing or screws to doors 1.5-2 inches thick.
  • Durable Design: Features reinforced side walls for stability and a low-profile shape (approximately 50mm diameter x 15mm depth) that blends seamlessly with door aesthetics.

Notes:  Within the .3mf file, once opened in PrusaSlicer, you will notice a ‘Generic_Cylinder’.  This volume will be removed from the model upon slicing to create the counter sunk space for the Peephole.
