The MBM (Minimalist Balanced and Modest) underdesk holder for Xbox controller is the one you’ll get knee down to see!

This underdesk Xbox controller holder comes from the fact I couldn’t find any existing one to my OCDed brain’s taste. Optimized features include :

  • easy of slide in/out
  • optimized cost of printing (less than 17 grams/0.6 ounce)
  • good balance for stronger adhesive mounting
  • less pain in case of knee bump
  • Better looks

Compatibility : Xbox series/one, gamesir S7 (verified) and probably other third party xbox style close to the original design.

You can use colours if you have a glass desk and enjoy your fabrication with the eyes

Installation :

  • 3 or 4 mm taped screws (2 of those)

OR

  • Double sided tape (the thick gluey one works very well)

With only 17 grams and 30 minutes of print time, you can launch the print, start a game of R6 Siege, ragequit and find your holder already materialized in this world to soothe your rage.

The top surface allows for a better adherence in case you choose like me to stick it with double-sided tape, by balancing the ensemble mount+pad better (on some other models static torque tend to tear away the tape).

This one features strategically placed chamfers to proving ease of insertion for your pad, while retaining it with dedication in times of abandon.

In the eventuality your knee or any other part of anatomy would happen to come in quick and painful contact with the part (mind your head while cable managing), thoughtful chamfers are present to attenuate the bad feelings while lowering the material cost and enhancing the underside appearance of the bit (well you might do cable management on a regular basis, idk).

Recommended printing settings :

Standard 0.20 layer height, 3 walls, 4 top/bottom layers, 12 Gyroid infill for PLA works great.

More agressive parameters can be used, as the part dont suffer much mechanical stress and in most of the cases will be invisible.

If you choose to go this way, PETG is also a good idea of course.

I'm looking forward seeing your creations in the comment section !
