Hello Guys!
Here comes an extruder made to fit voron printers with dual extruders to one hotend.
I provide a STEP file for you to see how it is assembled.
Note that you need PTFE tubes between the heatsink and the filament path as tight as possible without gaps between sections.
This extruder dosent have any tension for the gears that is why i made two different extruder bodys and front plate with the hole 0.5mm further away. Use BMG gears link here: https://www.bondtech.se/product/oem-all-metal-ridga-v2-set/
BOM:
2 sets of ridga BMG gears
2-NEMA14 10T stepper motors (you can use 8T but need to change it in the config then)
Buy a set of Voron M3 heat inserts 33 of them is needed
PTFE-Tube and 2 ECAS04 couplers
A kit with different size of M3 bolts. BHCS or caphead bolts
M3x6mm- 2
M3x8mm- 14
M3x10mm- 4
M3x12mm- 4
M3x15mm- 8
M3x20mm- 4
M3x30mm- 6
M3x35mm- 4
1: E3D Revo hotend
FAN: 1 4010 for hotend
FAN: 2 4010 Turbo type for part cooling
This fans are the same for an Ender 3 style printer.
I used 2 LDO Nighthawk tool boards with USB connection for this printhead https://www.3djake.se/ldo-motors/nitehawk-36-toolboard-kit?similar_products_d_a=21274
PRINT SLICE:
ABS/ASA
5 walls
6 top
6 bottom
30% infill
My config is not perfect but it works for that small code skill I got. If you come up with a better solution so share it. Same if you find better solutions over all and mods for this mod.
Dont forget to include the config also to your printer.cfg file [include DualExtruder.cfg]. My config is that T0 is to right and T1 is the left one.
HAPPY PRINTING!
UPDATE! 18 October 2025- RevoHotendHousingV2 use a shorter PTFE tube, 9mm.
