The tripod mount was getting tipped over and was difficult to precisely locate and rotate, so I printed out an adapter that grips the tripod tube (minus the tripod legs) and mounts to a ThorLabs PR01/M rotation stage.
I included the F360 design so you can adapt.

Notes:
I print with a high resolution STL output model and 0.15 mm layer because of the threads on my adapter. If you are just printing the plate you probably won't need this.
How I Designed This
Design
I pulled the dimensions of the rotation stage direct from ThorLabs website.
I measured the dimensions of the existing tripod mount. I was able to reuse the original cap with the printed threads.
