Decided to build a balsa wood flying model like I used to make when I was a kid. I started looking through old magazines for howtos and techniques when I ran across a picture of a tool to make notches in balsa parts. I suppose this is not  a very popular past time anymore since I started looking for kits and tools and there isn't much left available. Couldn't find this for sale at any of the online hobby stores so I made my own.

The tool consists of a handle/fence and 5 blades that are 1/20", 1/8", 1/16" and 3/32". The ends of the blades have a 120 grit sand paper strip glued and trimmed to the end. The blades can be stacked to increse the notch size if necessary. I may make another set of blades for some larger size notches up to 1/4''

You will need a 6-32 1-¼" screw and a 6-32 nut for the knob. Wing nuts would probably work well here.
