Gridfinity bookend inspired by the Lihit Lab Firm Book End

This design helps hold books upright without falling over or tipping into the void left by a removed book

Variations, Height and Depth, can be generated quite easily if the size is a bit off for your application. Just ask

Assembly

parts Needed:

  • 1 stand

  • 1 shaft based on the stands Gridfiity width

    • (Ex: Stand_3x4 → shaft_3_Wide)

  • 5 Arms per Gridfinity width

    • (Ex: Stand_3x4 needs 5 * 3 = 15 Arms)

The Shaft should fit snug in the stand while lacing on the Arms 5 at a time

If the arms get stuck or snag

  1. Debur the the corners of the shaft

  2. Debur the printer seam inside the hole (Arm V2_1 should remove this process 3/15/26)

  3. Debur the edge of the hole (Chamfer was added, shouldn't need to do this)

Notes

  • The stand files labeled with 1x4 and 2x4 are included for completeness and may not function adequately standalone. Using a longer shaft to bridge between a 1 or 2x4 to a 3 or 4x4 may work but i have not personally printed and tested these.
