This is a wall plate mount for the sensy-one esp32 based Rev 1.0 hardware version of the device. With this, you can mount the device within a wall outlet and power it, allowing for whole room monitoring based upon the outlet that it resides. This printer includes a cutout location for the optional S1 Pro C02 add-on so that it can obtain more accurate readings.
This design exposes both the luminance sensor as well as the WLED light to the front panel.
Print Settings:
The print should be done with 100% rectilinear infill to decrease the amount of variation within the sensor encasing for maximizing accuracy.
Additional Hardware:
- 2x M3x4 screws
- 2x M3 washers
- 5mm Fiber Optics Cable
- An AC to USB-C power adapter that can live inside the outlet box
- A small USB-C to USB-C cable, preferably with a 90 degree adapter.
- A straight razorblade to make clean cuts on the fiber optics cable
Assembly Instructions:
- Print the part, preferably in a PETG white.
- Insert the S1 Pro hardware inside the case mount point.
- Secure the two M3x4 screws with washers to the back of the S1 Pro device hardware. Do not overtighten.
- Insert a length of 5mm Fiber Optic cable within the two front panel window holes. The longer curved section does NOT require you to fully insert the fiber all the way within the device, but the further you can manage to insert this piece, the more radiant the light will be. Use the straight edge razor blade to cleanly cut the fiber optics cable at the surface of the box.
- Ditto the above for the LUX sensor right below. It does not have to be inserted all the way to be effective.
- Install the AC to USB-C Adapter within the wall outlet, plug the USB-C cable into the faceplate and attach the printed faceplate to the wall.
Note:
This design has not been inspected or approved using any code standards from any particular country. It is up to you to understand your own electrical safety considerations and local code when using this print.
