This is a dummy 3.5" disk drive.  It is absolutely silent, utterly reliable, and very low power.  On the downside, its capacity is 0.0TB, and it does not support SMART monitoring.

I use it to force airflow toward the actual disks in my network-attached storage (NAS) server.  It meets the SNIA specifications for 3.5" form factor drives, screw locations, and connector clearance.

The screw holes have crush ribs, so screws should grip securely.

I modeled the drive in Fusion 360.  I've included the CAD model files in .f3d (Fusion 360 format) and .STEP formats for your remixing pleasure.

How to Print

For most printers and slicers, you can probably start with MK4S_3.5_Disk_Dummy_prepared.3mf and change it to use your printer.  If not, start with the model_only 3mf or the STL.  Use 0.2mm layer height and adaptive cubic infill and block seams at the side screw holes.
