Grumman E-2 Hawkeye Kit Card

The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is a carrier-based early warning and control aircraft used primarily by the United States Navy. Introduced in the 1960s, it features a distinctive rotating radar dome mounted above the fuselage, allowing it to detect aircraft, ships, and missiles at long range. The Hawkeye plays a crucial role in coordinating air operations, guiding fighters, and managing battlefield communication. Printing Info

There are two versions you can print, one with langing gear and foldable wings and one without, both with and without a sprue. You can also print all parts seperatly. If you have problems with the rotating dome or you dont like it, there is also a fixed version under “seperate”. Happy printing!

Building Info

If the landing gear isn't balanced, carefully bend the hook up or down. The foldable wings are only flexible to some extend. Folding and opening too often might result in the wings breaking. If you want to keep the wings folded, carefully heat up the seams and hold the wings in position till cooled down, similar to the winglets at my other models. The wings fold in two axis. Be careful to only fold at one axis at the time, otherwise it might break. When you print the not-fixed version, the dome might be stuck initially. Attach it to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till it is loose.
