NOTE: This model are only modified files of the outer fixture. For the cores, they are available on the original page at:

Included in my model are two sets: the flat version that stays true to the original model, and the countersunk version marked as CS (and sorted into its own folder), featuring holes to fit countersunk M3 bolts to more effectively hide the screw heads. Alongside are .F3D files for Fusion 360, if anyone would want to additionally modify it.

ASSEMBLY TIPS
For assembly, follow the original instructions on the original page. The following are tips I found useful when I assembled it for myself:

  1. CUT THE CYLINDER BIT BY BIT - rather than trying to cut the inner cylinder in one direction, only partially cut through it at multiple points to prevent your saw from digging into the main part of the spool, then completing the cuts by sawing away the small points that remain attached.

  2. USE A SMALLER DRILL BIT TO DRILL MOUNTING HOLES - first, mark where you want the holes in your cut spool with a 3mm drill bit by hand (preferably twisting the marks into the spool body with a hand drill chuck), then using an electric drill to drill a hole through the spool with a 2mm or 2.5mm bit - make sure the holes line up with the printed holes of the outer fixture - before using your 3mm drill bit to widen the hole enough for the bolts to fit through cleanly.

  3. GET LONGER BOLTS - while the original page recommends using 10mm M3 bolts/screws, I found that those are a bit too short to be used for it, so if using the flat version like the original, use 15mm or 20mm long bolts instead, as they should grip much better to the core - the countersunk version should allow 10mm bolts better access, but I still recommend 15mm bolts instead.
