FluentPet sells buttons for pets to communicate with humans. This is an alternative to the foam tiles they sell. They're designed to lock together tightly in a way that allows the whole group to be picked up and moved without falling apart. The button also fits into the hole tightly enough that it will not fall out easily. I have printed each on in a different color as an additional way for the pet to differentiate it from the other buttons.
