When storing long material such as round stock, wooden trim, threaded rods they need to be locked in place to stay there. These magnet locks using standard 550 paracord, jut thread the cord though the opening, then tie a knot, trim excess cord and pull the knot inside the lock.
Fasten the plates either using double sided tape or screw them in place.
In the system there are captive endplates (fixed cord), captive midplates, magnet endplates and cord magnets, combine them to suit your need, leave a comment if you need another form factor.
If you need stronger locking force, check out the same system except using 25 mm webbing band, where you can have up to 3 magnets in each lock.

Print in PLA or PETG, 100% infill and add a pause so you can plonk in the magnets. Use 6x3 mm round magnets, buy the stronger ones (N52) and the locks will be plenty strong.
