The C64 Ultimate comes with a transparend site pannel, no matter what version you get.

While i think it looks great with the starlight edition, it looks way off on the basic beige, so i created a 3D-printable model.

And while i'm at it i made the SD-Card accessible from the outside with a generic sdcard extention cable (you really need a 50cm cable).

There are also versions for standard tactile bottons.

You can push them into the holes, fixate them with a piece of filament and put a drop of hotglue onto the filament to prevent it from sliding out.

That fixates the buttons fairly good, there is no way you can push them out of the socket, but with a drop or two of Isopropanol alcohol everything can be removed easily again.

There is a plain version, that has the exact holes the original has, and the with_sd model, that has a slot to push the sdcard-extention-pcb into. you can use hotglue in the 2 round holes to fix the pcb inplace.

these sd card extensions came in various types, adapting between different physical sizes of sd cards, you need a microSD (TF) to microSD (TF) with at least 50cm of cable. therw will de a 2 pieces plastic case around the female part, that is just clipped together, remove it and you be good.

They are around 5 bucks on ali express.

Unfortunately you not only need to open the case and unscrew the 4 screws on the panel, but you need to remove the motherboard from the case as well to swap out the panel, but that's quite easy to do.
