This is a simple, effective interface mount designed to adapt the Anycubic Return Detection Module (from the Kobra 3 Combo / ACE Pro system) for use on any 3D printer or surface.

The original sensor is built with a proprietary clip-in back, making it difficult to mount on non-Anycubic machines. This adapter provides a flat, stable surface so you can use double-sided tape or DIY brackets to secure the sensor wherever you need it.

Hardware Requirements

To assemble this mount, you will need the spare hardware included in the Anycubic ACE Pro package:

  • 2x M2.5 Screws (Included in the original ACE Pro accessory kit).

  • 2x M2.5 Hex Nuts (Standard metric nuts).

Assembly Instructions

  1. Insert the Nuts: Press the two M2.5 nuts into the hexagonal recesses on the back of the 3D printed interface.

  2. Align the Module: Place the Anycubic Return Detection Module onto the front of the mount, aligning the screw holes.

  3. Secure: Insert the M2.5 screws through the module and into the nuts. Tighten until snug (be careful not to overtighten and crack the plastic).

  4. Mounting: Apply double-sided tape to the flat back of the interface and stick it to your desired surface.

Features

  • Perfect Fit: Snaps directly onto the back of the Return Detection Module.

  • Universal Application: Converts the proprietary clip into a flat-back interface.

  • Non-Destructive: No need to glue or modify the original sensor.

  • Compact Design: Adds minimal bulk to the sensor footprint.

Print Settings

  • Material: PETG or ASA (recommended for durability near a warm printer), though PLA works fine for most setups.

  • Walls: 3-4 walls for structural rigidity.

  • Infill: 15-20% Grid or Gyroid.

  • Supports: No supports required if printed with the flat face down.
