This is a highly detailed model of Rick the Pickle in his improvised Exoskeleton (rat-suit). It’s a must-have for any Rick and Morty fan and a great piece for testing your printer's ability to handle intricate mechanical details and organic textures.
My Print Settings & Process
To get the best results, I focused on precision over speed. Here is how I achieved the look in the photos:
Material: Printed in White PETG. I chose PETG for its durability and slightly better impact resistance for the thinner bone structures.
Post-Processing: After printing, I hand-painted the model to bring out the grittiness of the rat bones.
Print Speed: I highly recommend lowering your print speed (around 30-40mm/s for outer walls). Slowing down is crucial for this model to ensure the small joints and "bone" details print cleanly without stringing or loss of detail.
Supports: Required (Organic/Tree supports work best to minimize scarring on the textured surfaces).
