I got tired of always putting away the top lid on my FF AD5M so I found out a solution for this.
These are simply customized hinges what you can attach to your lid with a two sided tape.
It fits to the standard enclosure kit.
After you've printed simply crack them a bit and after few closing and opening it will work nicely.
There are different options, choose the best fits for you:
If you have something behind your printer like a wall or a cabinet which can support the lid when it's open then this is the simplest one and choose this. Just use a two sided tape and that's it.
If you have nothing close enough behind your printer then go with one of the STOP options.
The one without the holes supposed to be also glued with a two sided tape but use this only in case you have some super strong two sided tape since based on my experience it can separate from the enclosure after some time.
The one with holes on one side are to use it with self-tapping screws on the enclosure for tight fitting. Hole Diameter is 4mm.
Print it vertically as shown on the pictures taken from the Orca slicer
Material: PLA or PETG
Infill: 30%
Wall Loops: 3
Supports:
For the Wall version no Supports needed despite that some slice might warn you.
For the STOP versions use manual tree supports only for the stops, see the pictures taken from Orca Slicer. If you are downloading the 3mf files then those have the supports already painted manually properly.
