I don't have a nice way of creating the drawer fronts from wood so I thought why not design a printable model for it.
This model is unfortunately too large by a small margin for 256x256 plates. But I will create a split model for it soon. So for now only bigger printers can print it.
I also created a handle which has slots where you can place samples of the filament that's in the drawer. So it's easier to see what rolls are in which drawer. You can even change the text on the sample for different materials. For now it's 7 slots, I'm working on a parametric model but had some trouble with that as I'm still learning. I will also add a black sample for your own text to add.
The plate comes in two versions. A fully closed one and a lite version. (0.6mm nozzle lite version is 170gr, full version 210gr)
Print settings for the handle:
at least 3 walls for strength
10% infill is fine
any material will work. I just had plenty of PETG and that works fine.
Make sure the outer wall speed is slow. Around 70mm/s or slower. That is because of the narrow slots. I'm thinking of a way to make it easier to print.
Print settings for the faceplate:
I used 3 walls, but 2 will work probably
10% infill, but more for more strength
any material will work but ABS/ASA is probably stronger. I used ASA
You can also print with 0.6mm nozzle for extra speeeed.
Build materials needed:
4x 3x16 screws (for handle)
at least 4x 3x16 screws to attach front to faceplate of drawer
