I'm making a first iteration of my writerdeck using a Waveshare 4.2" e-ink display and a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W from the @zerowriter project (https://github.com/zerowriter/zerowriter1). I had my own keyboard and just needed a portable case for the display and pi and just couldn't find one ready-made until I stumbled onto @AWSW's case for their weather display. All it needed was the mounts to be a bit wider for a Pi Zero 2W. I used 2mm x 4mm hex bolts.

So my first attempt was to take it into TinkerCAD and redistribute the mounting holes. After I printed the first modification, I realized I would need to decide to either have a slot for the sd card to stick out, or holes for the I/O depending on the orientation of the Pi. Since the zerowriter has paths for uploading the documents over wifi and I didn't want to have to squeeze a battery and bms into the case, I opted for the I/O holes. After a couple more variations, I finally settled on the sizes I wanted to make sure I could comfortably plug in my cords for either data or power, and added the one for hdmi just because. I did include a version without it, though. After settling on the final version, I realized that while the green light from the Pi is visible through the filament I used, It's not going to be the perfect option for any filament, so I did drill a hole that was just slightly smaller than 1.75mm (I think I used a 1/8" bit) and then pushed in some clear filament (though you can just leave it empty. I did add in the hole in the files, you may need to drill it out anyhow depending on the tolerances of your printer. I off-centered it so it wasn't glaring at you when you were using it, but you can still see the light on.

I think that's all. Another shoutout to AWSW for letting me share this remix, and if anyone has any questions or suggestions, please leave them in the comments!
