Raspberry Pi Pico Debug Probe Case

This is a compact and practical 3D-printable case designed for a Raspberry Pi Pico used as a debug probe. It protects the board from accidental damage, makes handling easier, and gives the probe a clean and professional look.

A 4x2 pin header connector is used for the SWD interface, making it easy to connect the Pico to the target device.

Wiring / Pin Connections

To use the Pico as a debug probe, connect the following pins:

Pico (Probe) → Target device

  • GPIO2 → SWCLK

  • GPIO3 → SWDIO

  • GND → GND

  • 5V / 3V3 (optional) → Target power (only if you want to power the target from the Pico)

UART (optional serial output):

  • GPIO4 → UART TX

  • GPIO5 → UART RX

(Always make sure the target voltage levels are compatible.)

Firmware

The official firmware is available here:
https://github.com/raspberrypi/debugprobe/releases

Firmware file name:
debugprobe_on_pico.uf2

To flash it, hold the BOOTSEL button while plugging the Pico into USB, then copy the UF2 file to the Pico storage device.
