Canton Karat 200 Grille

This is a front grille for Canton Karat 200 speakers from 1986/1987.

I found the speakers with walnut veneer and dark front grilles too dark overall, so I wanted my own grilles to provide contrast.

There is a complete model (approx. 380 x 250 mm), which is likely to be too large for most printers. However, if you have a suitable device, you are welcome to use it.

Then there is a split version, which should be printable on most printers with at least 255x255 print area. At first, I thought that the resulting gap in the middle would be very distracting. In reality, however, I no longer find this to be the case. To me, it looks more like a design feature.

The trick with the pattern here is to print without lower and upper layers so that the infill is visible. I printed with honeycombs as a pattern, but feel free to experiment with others. The size of the holes can be controlled by the infill density.
