Sleek Minimalist Laptop Stand - Structural Leg
Elevate your workspace with this ergonomic, high-strength laptop stand component. Designed specifically for 3D printing, this leg combines a modern aesthetic with rock-solid stability to keep your laptop at the perfect viewing angle while improving airflow.
Key Features
Optimized Geometry: The "J-hook" design features a secure front lip to prevent your laptop from sliding, even at steep angles.
Reinforced Durability: Engineered to be printed on its side. This orientation ensures the filament layers run the length of the arm, providing maximum structural integrity against snapping.
Filleted Edges: Smooth, rounded borders throughout the design prevent scratches on your device and offer a premium, "molded" look.
Enhanced Stability: The widened rear base provides a large contact surface for the desk, reducing wobbling during heavy typing.
Technical Print Settings
To get the best results and ensure the stand can support the weight of a 13" to 16" laptop, I recommend the following:
Orientation: Print flat on its side (as shown in the preview image).
Material: PETG is highly recommended for its heat resistance (laptops get warm!), but PLA also works for lighter setups.
Wall Loops: 3 to 4 walls for extra stiffness.
Infill: 15–25% (Gyroid or Grid recommended).
Supports: Minimal or none required depending on your printer's bridging capabilities.
Assembly Note
This part is designed to be used in a pair. Simply print two of these (or mirror one in your slicer for a symmetrical look) to create a full support system.
