What if your Otto robot could play games instead of just running around? With the HP Robots LED Matrix Console, we turned the Otto Starter Kit + expansions into a retro‑inspired RGB pixel game machine—complete with classics like Tetris and Snake.

This build uses the same modular electronics from the Otto ecosystem and repurposes them into a colorful, handheld‑style console powered by an RGB LED matrix. It’s a fun crossover between robotics, creative coding, and nostalgic gaming.

🕹 How It Works

Using the HP Otto Starter electronics, we transformed the robot into a compact game console:

  • 🔲 Mounted the RGB LED matrix as the main display

  • 🧠 Connected it to the Otto main board

  • 🔌 Plugged in the expansion ports for power & control

  • 🎮 Added button inputs for gameplay

  • 🧩 Loaded custom Python mini‑games (Tetris & Snake)

  • 📦 Enclosed everything in a snap‑fit 3D‑printed shell

The result is a tiny, colorful, pixel‑art console you can build and code yourself.

🎮 Included Mini‑Games

  • Tetris – falling blocks, rotating pieces, classic strategy

  • Snake – grow the snake, avoid the walls, chase the pixels

Both games run on the LED matrix using simple Python scripts included in the files.
