This bracket and cap is used for adapting 3/4" steel black pipe for hanging string lights.
The cap threads onto the end of the black pipe and has a slot for inserting a tie strap that can be used to secure string lights or other objects.
The bracket is designed to work with a 1/4-20" hex nut at bolt that clamps the bracket along the length of the pipe. I utilized 3 brackets spaced about 18" apart to secure the pipe. The pipe was then inserted into the aluminum deck post tubes. A hole was drilled into the post caps to allow for the pipe to pass through. It was designed to work with this Williams 36"x6' AL railing from Menards.
As these are for outdoor use and exposed to UV I would highly recommend printing in ASA due to the greater UV stability. I've had these outside for 2 years now that get direct afternoon sun for many hours a day and are still holding up strong.
