My ThermoSpa's(Manhattan II) filter doesn't have documented dimensions(that I can find). Buying the filters direct from ThermoSpa is an option, but it's roughly 2x the cost of other filters on Amazon. I made this adapter to allow me to use a similar filter(paid link) with my spa and it has worked great. I'm sure with enough hunting around I could find the right threading, but it was not trivial, even with the help of a local spa supply shop.
PLA is resistant enough to chlorine that I have not noticed any degradation in the 5 months I've been using this adapter. I haven't tried other filaments.
I printed with:
.28mm layer height
.4mm nozzle
70% adaptive cubic infill
5 wall loops
SunLu Black PLA+ 2.0
supports are not necessary
Torquing down the adapter on the filter and when screwing into the tub requires the part have strong layer adhesion and these settings helped to support that goal in my testing.
Notes:
Use at your own risk. This has worked fine for me, but your specific situation may vary and may or may not impact your spa warranty.
