I wanted a spool holder that could fit all my spools but I was unsatisfied with the models I found around.
This design automatically centers the spool once the nut is properly set thus reducing the strain on the extruder motor.
The thread is designed to be easily unscrewed yet strong enough to avoid accidental unlocking during printing.
Prints with no support, I used PLA+ from Sunlu for mine.
Center hole is 9.5 mm in diameter; in my simple setup I am using an M8 threaded rod that leaves plenty of space for the spool to roll. If anybody needs, I can modify the model to allow for other shaft sizes.
