Replacement wheel for a caster on our shop vac. The original plastic wheel broke, and the caster fork has the axle riveted into place, so I wanted to be able to install a wheel that was strong enough but could also be installed without putting the axle through the wheel.

Print the one part twice, and they slide together with the axle in the middle. Hex cutouts for M3 nuts,  press the nut in one side and secure it with the appropriate sized M3 screw from the other side. Only one is needed, but I put in two because of the single part symmetry.

The dimensions on the part is 62mm diameter, 20mm wide wheel. 6.5mm axle hole to fit a 1/4" axle, and 2mm standoffs for an overall mounted width of 24mm. If you are interested in a wheel like this but your dimensions don't match, you can let me know the sizes you need and I can generate, or I can share the F3D file as I tried to make it fully parametric so it should be able to update it.

I had a couple ideas, but I really liked the approach of lual on the source, so I went with that. Designed from scratch and made a couple adjustments but kept the same general idea because it looked so promising. Printed the test pieces and was very happy with the results.

For the shared files, I upped the diameter from the originals and added the option to print in one piece with rigid filament, or have separate bodies for printing with multi-material, with rigid filament for the core and TPU for the "tread".
