This is my third attempt at a holder/storage solution for the Wera Hex-Plus set, and so far I'm happy with the result.
The keys are easy to grab and easy to put back. They're firmly held in place by the TPU insert without holding on to the keys too firmly.
Printing
In case you don't want to use the .3mf, here are some printing instructions:
casing.stl & casing-bottom.stl:
Walls: 3
Walls printing order: Inner/Outer/Inner (for dimensional accuracy)
Material: PLA or PETG
tool_holder.stl:
3 walls
Honeycomb 20% infill
Material: TPU 95A
Infill: 20% Honeycomb infill
Good to know
The tool_holder.stl has little nubs on it that is .1mm smaller in diameter than the holes in the casing.stl. If your filament isn't tuned well enough, the nubs can be a bit too thick to fit in the holes. It's supposed to be a tight fit, but if it doesn't work you'll need to tune your filament.
The tool_holder's 20% honeycomb infill ensures enough rigidity to hold the keys in place whilst also allowing for easy removal.
I've designed this fully parametric so if you have any ideas for what the tool_holder insert could be, drop a comment and perhaps I'll make it.
If there is interest, I'll even clean up the file as best I can and then release it fully open source. It's a bit of work to clean it up properly so I won't bother unless there's enough interest.
This holder will only work with the Wera set shown in the pictures, Wera 950 Hex-Plus 1.5-10.
Assembly
Self-explanatory, but I will say that if the fit is too lose between the casing and tool_holder, you can use a drop of superglue to fix it in place so you won't need a re-print.
Update 2026-08-10:
Added STLs for the imperial Wera set.
Update 2026-08-11:
Updated the STLs for the imperial version as they need some additional space in order to fit comfortably.
