Core One Side – Basic Drybox Closure

A simple side cover for the Core One drybox. The part fits within the Core One build volume and is designed as a magnetic cover for the right side.

Print settings:

  • Length: 310 mm

  • Width: 10 mm

  • 2 perimeters

  • 0.25 layer

  • 5% infill

  • Material: PETG about 3x180g

Small neodymium magnets are used to hold the cover in place.

The small supports on the edges are intentionally included to help prevent warping during printing. This shape is somewhat prone to deformation.

Standard 8 mm × 2.5 mm sealing strip was used. The same seal is also used around the hygrometer window.

Inside the box I use a small container with silica gel, which works reasonably well for keeping the filament dry.

After printing, the parts were assembled and glued together to improve sealing of the joints.

Printing notes:

  • Minimal part cooling recommended

  • First layers printed without cooling

Note: It is necessary to seal the four small gaps in the Core One metal box. I used the same sealing strip as on the cover frame.
