Main Description

Celebrate Easter 2026 with this clean and functional snap-together egg!

This model was born from my journey learning Fusion 360, specifically experimenting with Sketch and Revolve techniques to create perfectly symmetrical organic shapes. While the exterior is simple and elegant, the interior is designed with a tight snap-fit tolerance to ensure your treats stay secure inside.

At 55mm wide and 80mm tall, it is the ideal size for housing small candies, chocolates, or even small 3D-printed surprises. Whether you're using it for a backyard egg hunt or as a desk organizer, it’s a sturdy and reliable print.

Contest Entry: Easter 2026

I am submitting this to the Easter 2026 Flash Contest to showcase my progress in functional CAD design. While a simple shape, it focuses on the core judging criteria of printability and assembly, providing a satisfying "click" when closed.

Technical Specifications

  • Dimensions: 55mm x 80mm

  • Material Usage: ~31.5g (Total with supports: ~35.5g)

  • Wall Thickness: Optimized for durability and snap-tension.

Printing Tips

  • Supports: Required. I recommend using "Tree Supports" (Slim) to ensure the curved bottom of the egg remains smooth while being easy to remove.

  • Orientation: Print both halves with the flat "rim" facing upward for the best results on the snap-joint.

  • Infill: 10-15% Gyroid or Lightning is sufficient.

Assembly

  1. Remove all support material from the base of the halves.

  2. Ensure the rim and the groove are clear of any stray filament "zits" or strings.

  3. Fill with your favorite treats.

  4. Align the top and bottom pieces and press firmly until you hear/feel the snap.
