Turn an old PC fan into an solder fume extractor with these 3D printed parts. They screw directly onto the fan, creating a compact and effective solution for removing solder smoke. Easy to assemble and ideal for hobby electronics and maker projects.
A filter can be placed between the fan and the back funnel to capture the worst of the fumes, giving you cleaner air while you work.
remember to test the direction of the air befor using the extractor.
NOTE:
This DIY fume extractor is not a perfect or professional ventilation solution. For the best protection, you should always work in a well‑ventilated area or use proper extraction equipment. However, this setup is still significantly better than having no fume control at all and helps reduce the amount of smoke you breathe in.
