Someone asked me for a stackable & modular thimble rack system, so here it is. The idea is to print modules and simply stack them in the order you wish, special variants were made for the bottom and top.

There is a version for regular printers that can fit 9 thimbles per row and one for larger printers that can fit 12 thimbles per row.

There are 3 module variants:

  • m1 - cells: each thimble is separated in its own little cell/space

  • m2 - pin: each thimble has a pin to rest on but they aren't divided

  • m3 - empty: just an empty shelf to allow you to put them loosely

For each variant, there are 3 sub-variants to allow them to be placed at the bottom, on top, or in between.

The fusion file is provided would you want to see how it's done, play with the parameters, or simply edit the model easily.

Printing information:

  • Print all parts on their flattest surface, which is their backs and place them diagonally across your printbed.

  • Use tree supports to support the connectors and the pins (in the pin variant).
