I can't keep the filament wrapped snugly against the 2kg reel since its out of balance. To avoid the unwound filament to wrap around the hub and snag i felt it necessary to procure a guide that i can easily change the position of.

If it is difficult to insert the 3/8" screw the easiest remedy is to scale the object in the x and y axis; Avoid scaling the z axis as you will change the pitch of the threads.
