Elvis Presley, known as the "King of Rock and Roll," was a monumental figure in American music and culture, renowned for his unique blend of rock, country, and rhythm and blues.

Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was the son of Vernonand Gladys Presley and had a twin brother, Jesse Garon, who was stillborn. Growing up in a poor family during the Great Depression, Elvis was exposed to music at an early age, particularly gospel music from the Assembly of God church his family attended. This early exposure significantly influenced his musical style.
