I wanted to mount my tools for the Bondtech INDX toolchanger at the top, like the Stealthchanger and Tapchanger toolchangers do. Because I want a nice unobstructed view of the work-piece being made. Also this gives better access to the work-piece and the toolhead.

The bracket indexes on the mgn9 Z-rails and goes around the standard Voron idlers so it doesn't limit the max z height. Beefy Front Idlers (BFI) should work as well. Because you can go underneath the bar it doesn't limit Y depth either on the bottom 2/3.

Hardware needed:

  • 1x 1515 aluminum extrusion (Makerbeam XL) M3 tapped at both ends. 290mm (250 spec), 340mm (300 spec) or 390 mm (350 spec) length.

  • 2x M5 8mm BHCS

  • 2x M5 12mm BHCS

  • 2x M3 10mm SHCS

  • 4x M5 2020 T-nut (any type will do)

Standard Voron Print settings. Best material is ABS or ASA.
