Warning These files were some of the hardest prints I've done. It took several tries before finding a set of parameters that would work some of the time for my system and the material I was using.
Files:
Hair Dangle P1 & P2 will produce the full piece as seen. However, P2 is JUST the little dongle bits, so if you like just chain, you can use just P1 to get a very similar piece.
3MF - I've included the successful 3MF file used on my Bambu
Small Hair Dongle is a three-string, larger chain, half ring version of the full P1 & P2 version
Sldprt - is a Solidworks / Onshape part if you want to modify the original model. Note that the P2 dongle isn't included.
Note: I don't think you can create this two-color part by switching color after the chain ends because I expect the dongles will just pop off the chain. The two part actually has the dongle piece embedded a few layers into the chain so that the two different materials have more surface area contact. With the extra cooling from the time it takes to switch colors, I think the interface of barely a millimeter of contact will be too weak to hold well.
Critical Printing Parameter Changes:
Drastically slowed down first layer speeds
Add 5 mm brim
Post-Processing:
There is a one layer thick modeled-in brim (in addition to the printing parameter brim) that you must pick off if you want free-flowing chain.
If you want the dongles to be free-flow, carefully pick them off of the ~4 chain links that they sit on. They require NO Support!
Note: Due to printing parameter brim around chain, expect a meditative ~10 minutes of picking brim off everything.
