Experience the perfect synergy between 3D printing and upcycling. This Frisbee design utilizes the plastic sides of the NEW Prusament spools and combines them with a minimalist, high-precision connector system.
The beauty of this design lies in its simplicity: No clicking, no locking, no hardware. The printed parts are engineered for a perfect friction fit. You simply slide the connectors onto the inner and outer sections of the spool sides. They stay in place through pure precision, creating a sleek and balanced flying disc.
Highlights:
Tool-Free Assembly: Just slide the printed rings and connectors onto the spool parts.
Sleek Design: A smooth, friction-based fit that feels solid and balanced in the hand.
Aerodynamic & Lightweight: Using the honeycomb sides ensures a great strength-to-weight ratio for long, stable flights.
Eco-Friendly: Gives a second life to your spool parts with minimal additional filament.
Instructions:
Remove the cardboard core from your empty Prusament spool.
Print the connectors (optimized for a tight friction fit).
Assemble: Simply slide/push the parts onto the center and the outer rim. The tight tolerances will hold everything together firmly.
Go out and play!
Since I unfortunately don't have a blank spool, I can only present these photos.
