Before going out and purchasing a seperate proper BOV unit, which I would place closer to the throttle than the built into the turbo BCV unit of the stock Mitsubishi TD04 turbo kind.
I thought it could be fun to see what one can do with a bov plate, that can be bought in ALU form, with either drilled or slotted pockets to allow air to dumped to the atmosphere.
So I designed a few different variations to achieve my wanted goal of a "HKS SSQV whistle sound". Couple of fails then a win.
I did also manage to create stronger sounding typical open BOV with the more "whooosh" sound that I liked, I called it the "Harmonica" as it looks like the openings in a harmonica instrument.
The design that creates a strong whistle sound with a slight "whossh" sound is called "Whistle.
